10 September 2019 – DAY 6 (Los Arcos)
Nearly overslept this morning because there was a guy that snored so loud it sounded as though he was drowning!! Jordan, Andrew, Alec and I set off on a long 28km walk. Andrew struggled with his feet and I with my blisters, so we walked together at a slow pace. It was an easy walk because there were no major hills, however, with feet that hurts everything feels awful. We had breakfast in Torres del Rio and lunch in Viana. Viana is really pretty. It was a long walk to Logrono where Victor have booked a hotel for us to stay in to properly shower and rest. We will also go out tonight to celebrate Jordan’s birthday. He is 19 today – such a lovely guy calling me his Camino Madre 😃. Logrono is big. We decided to have a rest day tomorrow. Although… with that we mean we’ll lie in and only walk 13km to Navarette tomorrow. We’ll see… So, we have celebrated Jordan’s birthday. Oh, my word…what an experience spending time with 4 guys between the ages of 19 and 29!!! The conversation had no filters 😂 It was fun!
