8 September 2019 – DAY 4 (Obanos)
I started walking really early. I have two horrible blisters and nearly could not get my boots on. I struggled to walk due to the blisters…Jordan’s knee is sore, and Doug had a shin splint. Victor joined us and walked with us…we did some yoga on the way. We passed the statue that one sees in the movie The Way and took some pictures. Horrible rocky road. The last time that I have struggled to walk uphill, a Chinese man urged me to sit, and he shared some of his lemon water to drink….I was obliged to 😳 The Albergue has a big Fig tree, and we ate loads of figs…yummy. Alec, Andrew and Julia were also there. We were ravenous and couldn’t wait for the siesta to be over in order for us to eat.
