7 September 2019 – DAY 3 (Pamplona)

Consequently, we took a taxi back to Zabaldika and walked back to Cizur Menor. Thus, no cheating… Helen and I walked together. We walked through a beautiful place called Puente. It is a walled village, and people were busy setting up a market. Lovely! We went inside a beautiful church. Glad we didn’t stay or else I would have bought something – my bag is so heavy!!! We got lost in Pamplona in searching for the Cathedral. Pamplona is apparently only nice when there is a bull run. Back at the Albergue I washed all my clothes. It was a really nice place. Victor arrived too. Doug taught us a trick and it was difficult, but ‘boom’ I got it in the end! The evening, we had a meal at the pub again. This time Jordan’s pork was raw! Two ladies from Canada shared my room and they snored like their life depended on it!!! Oh yes… I met Martin and Elsie from George, a guy from my hometown in Cheltenham, Algu from Germany, who was an interesting guy. Luka from Slovakia spent time with us. And… then there was Kepo from France…he really enjoyed any attention he could get from the ladies.

Pamplona Cathedral in background and a buzzing street market.
