2 October 2019 – DAY 29 (Vega De Valcarce)
A really lovely walk today all along the river. We’re in la Faba at the moment in a bar listening to music from Senegal…I like it! Town is right on the mountain, and it was a really steep climb. Only 4km to the next town and doable if it was flat. However,…we’re ascending 600m in 9km over rocks. Tomorrow will tackle the rest of the walk with fresh feet. Loads of cows with bells along the road again. Lovely to hear… Last time heard it on the Pyrenees where you only heard them and never saw them due to the thick mist. Waiting now to book in to the Albergue. It’s run by volunteers, and they take their awful time!! I must say…. I have had quite my share of cold showers 😂 Having another Pilgrim’s meal and then off to bed early for a very steep up and down….
