6 October 2019 – DAY 33 (Arzua)
In a place called Boente. Walked 35km today. Was a nice walk with misty rain in the beginning and hot as hell to end. Larry and I parted ways, because he only wants to be in Santiago on the 9th. Our lovely Croatians passed us today doing remarkably well. There are such a big crowd of people now on the path which does not make it pleasant – they are all the Sarria joiners and cruising. Interestingly, they do not adhere to the code of greeting on the Camino. In short…they irritate me 😜. Usually, you would also see familiar faces, but Nada! So far with a guy from Dublin in the room who warned me that he snores and gave me permission to poke him…😂. I’ll be able to get up and walk early again tomorrow and hope to get a good chunk of road out of the way so that my last day into Santiago can be shorter. We shall see…. I think I broke a toe!?!?
